March 1953: Approved by Ministry of Transport, its name was determined as Jinan Auto Repair and Parts Factory directly supervised by Ministry of Transport.
1956: Jinan Auto Manufacturing Factory was officially established.
Dec. 1964: Renamed as Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory.
1983: Introduced STEYR 91 range of heavy duty truck manufacturing technology project from Austria with the state approval.
1984: Formed a united heavy duty truck company by taking Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory as its main body and absorbing other complete vehicle, engine and parts manufacturers in China with the state approval.
1984: The united heavy duty truck company introduced complete vehicle technology from Austrian STEYR AG and started to produce STEYR heavy duty trucks in China with Jinan Auto Manufacturing General Factory as the main project sponsor.
Apr. 5, 1995: STEYR project passed national acceptance.

July 25, 2000: Zhu Rongji, Premier of the State Council, presided over the 74th Working Meeting of the Premier and decided to divide China National Heavy Duty Truck Group into three parts, which were separately administered by Shandong, Shaanxi and Chongqing. The main body was delegated to Shandong province for administration and retained its previous name of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group.
Sep. 9, 2000: New corporate management like Ma Chunji, president of the board directors and secretary of CPC SINOTRUK Committee, took their roles in China National Heavy Duty Truck Group.

Jan. 18, 2001: The establishment of New SINOTRUK was officially announced and Ma Chunji acted as the president of the board directors and secretary of CPC SINOTRUK Committee.
Aug. 18, 2002: SINOTRUK set up Chinas largest manufacturing base of heavy duty axles.
June 9, 2003: SINOTRUK and Volvo Group signed an agreement regarding a joint venture of heavy duty truck at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in due form. June 30, Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China approved the joint venture contract signed between SINOTRUK and Volvo. July 10, the joint venture Jinan Huawo Truck Co., Ltd. was set up.
Feb. 12, 2004: Approved by Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Shandong Xiaoya Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. was changed to SINOTRUK Jinan Truck Co., Ltd. and its short name was changed to SINOTRUK from Xiaoya Electric Appliance.
Aug. 6, 2004: SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) International Capital Co., Ltd was formally incorporated in Hong Kong. With the approval of Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China, SINOTRUK (Hong Kong) International Capital Co., Ltd. was established on Aug. 7.
Apr. 18, 2006: SINOTRUK Jinan Power Co., Ltd. was established in Jinan and had its leading product line of heavy duty truck engine put into operation.
Aug. 18, 2002: SINOTRUK set up Chinas largest manufacturing base of heavy duty axles.
